ISIS 5000 easily adapts to a variety of workflow environments, supporting Avid Media Composer, NewsCutter, and Symphony and Apple Final Cut Pro editors equally with FlexDrive, a dynamically scalable storage workspace technology that enhances collaboration and productivity by adjusting storage to your business needs instead of requiring you to work around its limitations. By comparison, other systems have no or limited workspace flexibility, no ability to support both Mac and PC in the same workspace, and may even require storage to be dedicated to a single media type.

ISIS 5000 is extremely easy to use. Installation and network configuration software wizards combine to minimize set-up time and effort. The new ISIS 5000 Management Console simplifies user management (including LDAP support) and storage management and its comprehensive yet intuitive monitoring and diagnostics have never before been available in this class of storage system. And the best part is that knowledgeable assistance is always available from Avid and Avid ACSR-trained reseller partners worldwide.

Skalierbarkeit
Three different models address a range of capacity and connectivity needs from 32 to 64 TB (pre-RAID) and from 4 to 40 client connections. Each ISIS 5000 Storage Engine houses sixteen 2 TB disk drives arrayed in three 4+1 RAID5 sets plus a hot spare drive. The ISIS 5000 Engine houses an ISIS System Director CPU that performs metadata management, and is protected with mirrored, field-replaceable system drives. Depending on the model, four 1Gbit Ethernet ports or a 10Gbit Ethernet port provide connectivity to one or two external switches, or directly connect to four 1Gbit clients. In addition, you can combine the DC model with an externally sourced switch.
